Tuesday 27th May
Well... it's over for now. We had a really great week. Thanks once again to everyone who came to see us.
If you didn't manage to come, you can always contact me and arrange a visit or, better still, invite some friends round and I'll come to you, bringing all my jewellery and corsages with me. It will depend, a bit, on where you live. fizzipins@gmail.com
You can also ask Tam about buying a piece of her pottery. Contact her through her Facebook page. See below.
Tam Frishberg
Tam makes wheel thrown stoneware pottery in her home studio. Having grown up next
to the Pacific Ocean in California, she is inspired by landscapes and has developed a
distinctive and minimalistic style. “I take more pleasure from the form than the
decoration and I love the idea that people are using what I have made,” she explained.
Her work has been sold in various galleries and is currently in the SOTA gallery in Witney.
She also exhibits regularly with the Oxfordshire Craft Guild and in Oxfordshire Artweeks in
May. You can see more images and information for Tam Frishberg by clicking these links:
Dianne Frank
During Artweeks Dianne will be exhibiting coloured pencil drawings of botanical subjects,
including flowers, fruit and vegetables. Although she works in pencil, her aim is to create
'paintings'. She works by building up many layers of pencil, blending and burnishing the
pigment into the paper to achieve an almost paint-like finish.
Several of her pictures are also available as giclee prints as well as greeting cards. She
is a member of the Society of Botanical Artists.
